The Rotary Club of Cordelia is an association of business and community leaders serving the Fairfield Suisun area and enriching the professional and personal lives of its members.
Founded in 1988 by members of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club (with meetings at noon), the chartering members wanted a morning meeting that fit in better with their work schedules. In order to avoid confusion with the noon club, the name of the unincorporated community outside of the City of Fairfield was chosen for the new Rotary Club of Cordelia. The size of the club ebbs and flows, but it has remained a relatively small club by Rotary standards, with between 20 and 30 members at any given time. Still the club “punches above its weight” in terms of the amount of money it raises and donates to the community and the amount of volunteer activities its members participate in.
Members include people from all professions and walks of life, including business owners, educators, non-profit managers, bankers, attorneys, medical and real estate professionals, and retirees. The club is a non-political and non-sectarian organization open to all people.
